To Change One Thing

If I could change one thing it would be to not to have put a foreign object on Rachel Freeman's pencil. It all started when I was in third period in Toth's room. I was just sitting there very bored, and that is when I saw it, I saw a piece that may have belonged on top of a pen. Just to be a brat, I put this foreign object on what I thought was Cameron's pencil. About 5 minutes pass and Rachel needed her pencil to write something down, she reached for the pencil on my desk. That was when I knew it was her's. Rachel, Cameron, and I spent the rest of class trying to get this foreign object removed for the pencil. If I would have resisted the urge to place the object on the pencil, Rachel would not have been upset with me. We all tried to pull it off, including Mr. Toth, but after a good half hour, Cameron Finally got it off. Because of my action, Rachel had to break something of mine. An eye for an eye. So I departed with my pencil and handed it over, she broke the clip off that holds it in the spiral of my planner. What a tragedy, all because I put a foreign object on a pencil.

Upper left is what the foreign object looked like.

My Mom

value the relationship that I have with my mom very much. We are not like other mom and daughters I know. We have great communication. Maybe it is me who is not like others but I rarely argue with my mom, I look up to her. I give her so much respect, she is the strongest person I know. She raised my sister and I on her own when my dad passed away. I was three and my sister was only eight months. It was very tough and at times she wanted to give up but she pushed through and was the best mom a person can be. I understand her and when things get rough I try my best to help her. I do not know what I would do with out her, she is my rock, my backbone, and definitely my hero. I am proud to say she is my mom.

Hawaii

Over the summer I went on vacation to Hawaii with my mom, my sister Paige, and my cousin Taylor. We departed on July 3rd and returned July 11th. There was approximatly an hour flight to Georgia. Then from Georgia we flew almost nine hours to Hawaii. Since I love to sleep,  the flight was not as long as it could have been.

During our stay, we went on a lot of excursions. on exsursion was going on a submarine. There were a lot of unique fish and  coral reefs. I learned that the Japanese purposely sank two planes and and one ship to attract fish. Parasailing was an interesting experience. I am not very found of flying high above the ocean, only attached to a boat by rope. Another day we rented a blue Ford mustang for the day so that we could travel to Sandy beach. I was very entertained watching surfers get tossed all around. The waves were shore breaks, I did not even try getting in.

Whenever we go on vacation, my mom likes to go out to diner all dressed up once. So we went to Chris Ruth's Steakhouse, which is where we saw a Steven Tyler look alike. When we got back to the resort my sister and I were walking around and met some people, of course we could not do that on the first day. My sister and I met two people from California and a bunch of people from Brazil. Agusto (Brazil) knew how to play the guitar and Alex and Jake (Cali) knew how to play the ukulele so we all sat at the beach and sang songs that we all knew. I now believe that music is the international language.

Taylor, me, Paige, and my mom at the air port in Hawaii waiting for our ride.

Pedro, Paige (sister), Maria, Agusto, and I on our last full day there. (they are Brazilian.)

Just trying to decide what to do.

The night we sat singing, enjoying time with new people.

My sister Paige with the Steven Tyler look alike, the picture I took with him was blurry.

Some fish swimming around the ship around 118ft below sea level.

Kara Keim

My name is Kara Keim
Not Key-air-ra.
It is pronounced K-air-ra
Spelled with a K
Like kit-kat, kind, key, and king
Otherwise it would be Car-a.

I was named after a Rottweiler
Yes, a dog,
My mom was in love with the name
Not because of the meaning
Or who else I share the name with,
She simply liked the name Kara.

My last name is Keim.
No it does not rhyme with cream
It is Keim, like time with a K.
I am German
that is why it is pronounced K-eye-m.
And no my initials are not KKK
My middle name is Ann.

When people find out my last name is Keim
They ask if I am Amish.
I am as Amish as a computer mechanic
I like to drive, along with heating and cooling.
I am not about that Amish life
I live my own.
