Jonny Cupcakes
Jonny Cupcakes is an extremely influential role model. He started as little as eight years old! He began with snow plowing, selling drinks on hot days, and making money any way he could. My beginning started in 6th grade when I shadowed my veterinarian. My dream is to run my own animal hospital. In order to so this I have to start small, I did this by observing and imagining my self doing this one day. Vet school does cost a lot but Jonny Cupcakes comes into this by showing us that in order to get as far as he did, he had to take risks. The risk I am willing to take is getting a huge loan to pay off this schooling. Once I have my own place and my own customers, it will be like there was never a risk. Everything happened for a reason and that reason was to achieve my goal.

Skydiving!!
Something that I have never done before is skydiving. I may be scared to death of it, but I need to over come this fear. Dana Bowman, professional skydiver, has a famous saying, "It's not the disability...it's the ability!" This is very inspirational because I am just afraid to try it. Dana was doing a maneuver and it did not end well. He turned back around and continue on with his dreams. Do not judge a book by it's cover, just because skydiving looks terrifying, does not mean you would not like it at all. Skydiving has a major adrenaline rush. Some people love it and some do not. I love adrenaline, but what gets to me is the height and possibilities of it going terribly wrong. But on the other side, you will never know if you do/ do not like it if you do not give it a try.

Music's role in my life
Music is an important aspect of my every day lifestyle. It helps me relax, it takes my mind off of the little things that aggravate me. I believe music is a way of expressing one's emotions. These emotions especially are shown if a person writes their own lyrics. To those who do not write their own, can listen to different genres to relieve their feelings. There are people who listen to depressing screamo music and there are people who listen happy upbeat music. I am not saying these songs give people their personality but, there is a possibility music can express their emotions. I listen to country which that can show any emotion from a break up "Mama's Broken heart" by Miranda Lambert, to "Summertime" by Rascal Flatts. Music plays a huge role in my life, people should try listening to music when in a mood they need to get out of.

If Money Had No Value
If money was nothing of value I would start a huge farm. This way people would have to come to me for food such as fruits, vegetables, and meats. I would not just hand out these goods, people would walk all over me, there has to be some sort of trade. I would accept clothes from those who make them. To whom I trust, they can clean my house, one less thing I have to do. For the meat, I will have chicken, cows, and pigs, therefore I will have a load of poop that needs to be picked up. Now do not tell me someone is going hungry because I am giving them the opportunity to work for their food, and if they can not do that, then they deserve to be hungry. Nothing is free, one can not get something if one did not earn it.
I am influencing society by ending hunger for anyone who lives near me and also keeping kids off the street. Kids will have less time to spend causing trouble if they are helping their family get food by cleaning, or picking up animal poop. Yes, their parents could be helping to get food, but they are often busy raising kids, or taking care of their own house. The world would not come to an end if money was worth nothing, perhaps it would make it a better place.

My Favorite Hobby
My favorite activity is riding a four wheeler. I started to ride at a young age. I believe the first time I rode a four wheeler was about eleven years ago on the forth of July, at a party. It was so much fun the speed and adrenaline was probably what I like so much about it. I did burn the side of my calf on a hot pipe, but ever since then, I have loved to ride.
I got my first and only four wheeler for Christmas about 6 years ago. My sister and I tore up our small backyard so we had to take it to our grandma's. There we had plenty of room and we even made a ramp to jump.
This past summer I went even bigger, my cousin Tyler took me mudding. My old four wheeler was small and did not have a clutch, so my cousin taught me how to drive manual on his four wheeler. He made us come close to dumping it on a dip, be he had kept control of it the whole time. I also got mud in my mouth, other than that I still love it.

To Change One Thing
If I could change one thing it would be to not to have put a foreign object on Rachel Freeman's pencil. It all started when I was in third period in Toth's room. I was just sitting there very bored, and that is when I saw it, I saw a piece that may have belonged on top of a pen. Just to be a brat, I put this foreign object on what I thought was Cameron's pencil. About 5 minutes pass and Rachel needed her pencil to write something down, she reached for the pencil on my desk. That was when I knew it was her's. Rachel, Cameron, and I spent the rest of class trying to get this foreign object removed for the pencil. If I would have resisted the urge to place the object on the pencil, Rachel would not have been upset with me. We all tried to pull it off, including Mr. Toth, but after a good half hour, Cameron Finally got it off. Because of my action, Rachel had to break something of mine. An eye for an eye. So I departed with my pencil and handed it over, she broke the clip off that holds it in the spiral of my planner. What a tragedy, all because I put a foreign object on a pencil.

Upper left is what the foreign object looked like.

My Mom
I value the relationship that I have with my mom very much. We are not like other mom and daughters I know. We have great communication. Maybe it is me who is not like others but I rarely argue with my mom, I look up to her. I give her so much respect, she is the strongest person I know. She raised my sister and I on her own when my dad passed away. I was three and my sister was only eight months. It was very tough and at times she wanted to give up but she pushed through and was the best mom a person can be. I understand her and when things get rough I try my best to help her. I do not know what I would do with out her, she is my rock, my backbone, and definitely my hero. I am proud to say she is my mom.

Hawaii
Over the summer I went on vacation to Hawaii with my mom, my sister Paige, and my cousin Taylor. We departed on July 3rd and returned July 11th. There was approximatly an hour flight to Georgia. Then from Georgia we flew almost nine hours to Hawaii. Since I love to sleep, the flight was not as long as it could have been.
During our stay, we went on a lot of excursions. on exsursion was going on a submarine. There were a lot of unique fish and coral reefs. I learned that the Japanese purposely sank two planes and and one ship to attract fish. Parasailing was an interesting experience. I am not very found of flying high above the ocean, only attached to a boat by rope. Another day we rented a blue Ford mustang for the day so that we could travel to Sandy beach. I was very entertained watching surfers get tossed all around. The waves were shore breaks, I did not even try getting in.
Whenever we go on vacation, my mom likes to go out to diner all dressed up once. So we went to Chris Ruth's Steakhouse, which is where we saw a Steven Tyler look alike. When we got back to the resort my sister and I were walking around and met some people, of course we could not do that on the first day. My sister and I met two people from California and a bunch of people from Brazil. Agusto (Brazil) knew how to play the guitar and Alex and Jake (Cali) knew how to play the ukulele so we all sat at the beach and sang songs that we all knew. I now believe that music is the international language.
Taylor, me, Paige, and my mom at the air port in Hawaii waiting for our ride.
Pedro, Paige (sister), Maria, Agusto, and I on our last full day there. (they are Brazilian.)
Just trying to decide what to do.
The night we sat singing, enjoying time with new people.
My sister Paige with the Steven Tyler look alike, the picture I took with him was blurry.
Some fish swimming around the ship around 118ft below sea level.

Kara Keim
My name is Kara Keim
Not Key-air-ra.
It is pronounced K-air-ra
Spelled with a K
Like kit-kat, kind, key, and king
Otherwise it would be Car-a.
I was named after a Rottweiler
Yes, a dog,
My mom was in love with the name
Not because of the meaning
Or who else I share the name with,
She simply liked the name Kara.
My last name is Keim.
No it does not rhyme with cream
It is Keim, like time with a K.
I am German
that is why it is pronounced K-eye-m.
And no my initials are not KKK
My middle name is Ann.
When people find out my last name is Keim
They ask if I am Amish.
I am as Amish as a computer mechanic
I like to drive, along with heating and cooling.
I am not about that Amish life
I live my own.

Drunk Driving
An important rule to obey is to not drink and drive. People should follow this rule because it is these individuals that kill other innocent people. One slip with driving intoxicated can ruin the rest of a person's life, and even end someone's life. Drinking alcohol period can be dangerous, many people randomly break out into fights and do not even know what they are doing until the next day when they are in trouble and/or someone tells them what they did.
Alcohol can impair a person's vision and thinking. A person can be driving and in their mind/eyes they are driving the speed limit and in the right lane. When in reality they are swerving in the middle of the road. Perhaps the intoxicated driver is a parent, the children do not have a say in how they get home. They are just told to get in a vehicle when it could be their last time in a car.
Driving intoxicated is illegal for a reason. People need to obey this rule, for they could save a life, whether it is the their's or an innocent other's.
